Admissions Process
How to begin your child's journey
We take pride in delivering a seamless and personalized admissions experience. Given the exclusive nature of our offerings and limited availability in certain grades, we invite you to follow the steps below to ensure your family’s needs are met with the utmost care and attention.
Step 1
Application
Families are invited to submit an online application along with the required documents. Our Admissions Team will review the application and contact you to guide you through the next steps.
Step 2
Academic Review
We ask families from Grade 2 to Grade 12 to provide recent progress reports or standardized assessment results, such as:
- MAP
- CAT4
- Or equivalent school reports and assessments
These reports allow us to gain a clear picture of your child’s academic level, strengths, and learning needs.
Step 3
Student Interview
All applicants are invited for a student interview. This is an important part of our process and allows us to:
- Get to know your child as a learner and as a person
- Understand their motivation, confidence, and communication skills
- Ensure the school environment is the right fit for them
Step 4
Screening (If Needed)
If a family is unable to provide sufficient academic progress reports, our Admissions Team will schedule a screening assessment to better understand the student’s current level and learning needs.
This screening is used only when necessary and is not our primary admissions pathway.
Step 5
Offer of Placement
Once the review process is complete, families will be informed of the admissions decision. If a place is offered, our Admissions Team will guide you through the registration and enrollment steps.
Step 1
Application
Complete the online application form Application Form Submit a copy of your child’s Emirates ID or Passport along with their latest school report, indicating the grade in which they have been studying (if applicable). Upon receiving your child’s application, we will invite you to bring your child for an assessment.
Step 2
Assessment
We conduct age-appropriate assessments to better understand your child and ensure they can succeed at Horizon Private School – American Branch. For Pre-KG, KG1, and KG2 children, assessments involve observed play, while older children (Grade 1 and above) undertake formal entrance exams in English, Math, and Arabic.
Step 3
Acceptance
An offer letter will be issued for successful applications. Based on the assessment results and previous academic records, admission decisions are communicated within two working days.
Step 4
Enrolment
Upon acceptance, parents are required to finalize the enrolment process either online or by visiting the school to complete the registration documents and forms and pay the registration fees.
We look forward to welcoming you and your child to our collaborative school community. For more information to start your application, please contact the school registrar at Registrar@hpsbranch.com
